How to make a frame

Draw a frame on the board and pick what lives inside it.

Frames are the unit of everything in Hedwig. Here is the whole move:

Create one

  • Press F (or pick the frame tool in the bottom toolbar).
  • Draw a rectangle anywhere on the board.
  • Pick what the frame should be from the placement menu: an inbox view, a document, a datasheet, a todo list, a calendar, and more.

The frame appears immediately and fills itself with live content.

Move, resize, rename

  • Move: drag the frame by its header.
  • Resize: drag any edge or corner. Frames have a content-derived minimum size so their controls always stay reachable.
  • Rename: click the frame's name in its header and type.

Delete and undo

Select a frame and press Delete, or use its menu. Cmd+Z undoes board actions — moves, resizes, creates, and deletes. Team frames are shared objects, so deleting one asks for confirmation first.

If you get stuck

Lock mode (in the board toolbar) freezes frame geometry so nothing drags while you work inside frames. And the agent can make frames for you: ask Harry for "a datasheet for tracking candidates" and it lands on a free spot on the board.
