Your first ten minutes
Connect an account, take the tutorial on a practice inbox, and make your first real moves.
The tutorial
After a few questions about how you will use Hedwig, the tutorial opens on a practice inbox that never touches your real mail: a short guided quest, taught by doing. The practice world is shaped to what you told us.
Connect an account
Then connect Gmail or Outlook. Sync starts right away; your mail appears in the frames within moments. Add more accounts later from Settings → Accounts.
Three first moves
- Stand a frame. Press the + among the frames, type mail, pick it. The frame rises into place.
- Open an email inside the frame. The frame becomes the reader; the list stays beside it when the frame is wide enough.
- Tell Hedwig something in the conversation (press C if it is hidden): “what needs a reply today?”
Where things are
- Boards home — every board you have, with live previews. A board is a workspace for a kind of day; most people run one or two.
- A board — opens on your conversation with Hedwig, with the board’s frames in the rack on its left. The stage, the board itself, is one step away.
- Settings — accounts, tags, appearance, connections, billing, and this manual.
Next: how the stage works.
